that we don't have here, in america you have the presumption of innocence before you're found guilty. in mexico, you're guilty and you have to prove you're innocent. there's no bail for murder. so if he's charged with murder, they'll hold him there. the system goes a lot faster if you are sentenced and found guilty for murder, there's no death penalty in mexico. and there's not a sentence over 50 years. they believe that's inhumane. so he's got one of the greatest attorneys there. there must be something. usually when you go to mexico, larry, when you're visiting there, you become a citizen. so they consider that a citizen of mexico was murdered. the guy probably be in jail right now unless there is some kind of evidence that, you know, they're really trying to confirm. so it could go either way. you got to have a great attorney that knows his surrounding and he picked the right one. >> larry: if you're visiting you're a citizen? >> well, when you -- once you cross the border into mexico, you become a mexico citizen even if you're a visitor. so all the laws are the same as to you as

really believe america is ripe for a political realignment. i think both parties are basically controlled and owned by the big powerful special interests. the political industrial complex that does business in and around washington. congressman paul knows exactly what i'm talking about. both parties basically decide what the solutions are that confront the american people based upon the different special interest groups that descend on washington. your success in minnesota, jesse, i think had a lot to do with the fact that even in the late '90s there was a real hunger for some sort of new political way. and i think america particularly now with the economy being what it is ripe for that. and i think congressman paul says it exactly right. why are we in america in so many far away places fighting wars in different places when you really have to ask yourself whether or not that is really a vital american interest. and so i think the right person who speaks on these issues, there is a place for them. go ahead, sorry. >> jesse: i can tell you about the wars. people are making money off the wa

are not worth what they should be worth. and this is really bad for not only the farmers, it's bad for america. it's bad for all of us. >> larry: how did you get involved, interested in the farming thing? >> i was doing some shows in the illinois state fair. and i was on the bus talking to big jim thompson, the governor of illinois. and he and i were sitting there, and it was kind of like an annual ritual. i would come in and do the fair and he would come on the bus and we'd have a bowl of chili and drink a beer and talk about things. and this particular year, we started talking about the farmers. i'd heard from my friends in texas about how the farmers weren't doing that good. and i grew up on a farm. and i knew that it didn't ever do really great. but i heard that it was worse than usual, that they weren't getting any money and they were going out of business at an alarming rate. i started checking out, and sure enough, we at one time had over 8 million small family farmers, and now we're down to less than 2 million. and that's not right. >> larry: it's the big companies. >> the big corporat
